About Us
Rated the #1 Preferred Event Venue in Trenton, NJ in a recent online business survey, we are best known for our ideal location, our friendly customer service, ample parking and versatility to transform into a variety of settings to fulfill the purpose of each occasion. Our 8,000 square foot, four-level, indoor/outdoor multi-purpose facility is used for all kinds of events: repasts, baby showers, gender reveal parties, bridal showers, pop-up marketplaces, poetry and spoken word events, seminars, meetings, fundraisers, child and adult birthday celebrations, and much more.
In addition to offering event rental space, the Conservatory Mansion also served as headquarters to a number of cultural and community arts organizations and businesses: PROJECTS UNLIMITED, LLC, THOMAS GRICE ACADEMY OF MUSIC, BEYOND EXPECTATIONS (Teen Filmmaking and Leadership Program), GOOD COMPANY (Classic Soul/R&B Cover Band) and FS MEDIA (Sound and Audio-recording) Pre-COVID Pandemic. Our in-house non-profit entity, CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC AND PERFORMING ARTS SOCIETY (COMPAS), plays significant roles in several collaborative city-wide community-based, mission-focused projects that as helped to revitalize NJ's Capital City, namely, Arts for Any Given Child TRENTON and the Garden State Agrihood Project (GSAP), and Capital City Farm.

Our Story
OUR REASON FOR BEING
If anyone would have told me I'd someday own the very place where I once took piano lessons as a pre-teen/teenager decades ago, chances are I probably would not have believed it. Fast forward to 2005, the year when the historic, four-story Victorian-style brownstone formerly home of the world-renowned Trenton Conservatory of Music for nearly a century changed hands for the third time. For me, to build upon the rich legacy of the previous occupants was a no-brainer. The Conservatory Mansion today remains a place where music lessons and dance classes are offered, where rehearsal studios for the visual and performing arts are available, and where small to mid-size indoor/outdoor private and public events of all types are held.
As a native to Trenton, NJ, I remember experiencing all kinds of free and affordable community arts and cultural programs and activities in the city which ultimately helped mold and shape who I am today. I also recognize(d) that local world-class musicians and creative artists in the area need(ed) a place to instruct, perform and/or display their talent, and the abundance of entrepreneurs, social, civic, cultural and non-profit organizations seeking rental space locally and the lack of choices available. Dubbed a "social entrepreneur" by several friends familiar with my vision, the decision to meet the desires and demands of our historic Trenton has been and remains the mission, vision and the number one priority of the business.
Our Niche
WE'RE MORE THAN AN EVENTS VENUE
What makes The Conservatory Mansion different from local competitors is the intentional desire and willingness to help other businesses prosper by sharing and referring them to our interested customers in search of specific services such as DJs, event planners, caterers, party rental companies (for tents, designer seating and more) photographers, etc. With our NEW e-business directory, it is our goal to bring attention to and more importantly help increase revenue for the many talented entrepreneurs within and outside our city, especially those that have been hired by our customers seeking to make their events unique, memorable and successful.
